TEAM SPOTLIGHT

Director of Job Development: Megan Brown

Director of Job Development: Megan Brown

Megan started at Skill & Ability Education in May of 2020 as a contingent job coach, moved into a vocational support coordinator role, and is now the Director of Job Development (since May of 2021).

Megan's career path started as a Family & Consumer Sciences teacher. When she and her husband relocated to California, she transitioned to working for an agency that provided a wide range of services for individuals with disabilities. She loved working for their Independent Living Services program, and when they relocated to Michigan, Megan joined Skill & Ability Education.

Megan's passion for working with individuals with disabilities started from a young age. She volunteered with Special Olympics in high school and a bowling league for individuals with disabilities as an undergraduate at Ohio University.

Outside of work, Megan enjoys spending time with family, traveling, seeing new places and the outdoors. She also loves listening to music (Caamp is one of her favorite bands!) and is a very proud Ohio University alumnae!

"I love that I have found a career where my passion for inclusion merges with my interest in teaching life skills. I think there is a lot of value in building an inclusive workforce and community and believe that everyone should have access to equal opportunities."
