LaGarian joined the Skill and Ability team in April of 2020 at the start of the pandemic as a Contingent Coach and later transitioned to an Inclusion Specialist. He has conducted workshops and also worked with a wide variety of clients for work readiness support and job coaching in the community.

LaGarian earned an academic athletic scholarship to play football at Eastern Michigan University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education (Non-Teaching) with a minor in Health Education in 2007. He's currently also pursuing a Special Education Certification (Learning Disability) from EMU.

Shortly after graduating, LaGarian became a substitute teacher, servicing local districts (Willow Run Community, Ann Arbor Public, Ypsilanti Public, Lincoln Consolidated, Van Buren Public School Districts) from 2008 through 2012. He coached Varsity Football at Ypsilanti High School from 2008-2010 and Varsity Football at Huron High School from 2015-2016. He now works for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District (WISD) during the school year and has been employed by the WISD since 2013. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, visiting family and friends in Florida, going to concerts, out to eat, the movies, and reading.

"Since I was a child, I have always had a desire to help others. Working with individuals with disabilities gives me the opportunity to positively impact their lives. Providing tools and resources to them brings me joy, and I hope that this impact will enhance their lives and help them live in a more inclusive society!"
