TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Inclusion Specialist: Amanda Bacon

Amanda joined Skill and Ability after earning a bachelor's degree in Sociology from MSU. She discovered her passion for helping others build independence and self-advocacy skills while working as a behavior technician. After two years in that role, she transitioned into her current position as an Inclusion Specialist at Skill and Ability.
She loves building meaningful relationships with the people she supports and helping them work toward goals that matter to them. Seeing someone gain independence and discover confidence in their own abilities is what she loves most about her job.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her cat. She also loves yoga, camping, crafting, traveling, and trying new foods.
“I believe everyone should have the opportunity to make decisions about their own life. I strive to create a space where people feel comfortable speaking up, exploring new opportunities, and growing at their own pace.”
